Pharmacies and Police Stations Accepting Unwanted Medicines for Disposal

Unwanted medicines can be collected at the following pharmacies and police stations in Washington State.  Pharmacies cannot accept Controlled Substances at this time.  If you need to dispose of a controlled substance, take it to a participating law enforcement location.  Special instructions are available to dispose of your medicines if there is not a location near you. Other medicines that can and cannot be returned.

Clallam County Locations - Sequim, Port Angeles

Clark County Locations – Battle Ground, Brush Prairie, Camas, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, Mobile Collection Events

Cowlitz County Locations - Longview

King County Locations - Bellevue, Bothell, Burien, City of Snoqualmie, Federal Way, Issaquah, Kent, Kirkland, North Bend, Redmond, Renton, Seattle, and Shoreline

Kitsap County Locations - Silverdale, Port Orchard and Poulsbo

Pierce County Locations - Dupont, Fife, Gig Harbor, Puyallup, Sumner, Steilacoom, Tacoma, and University Place

Skagit County Locations -  Darrington (operated by Snohomish County)

Snohomish County Locations -  all cities and towns

Spokane County Locations - Spokane

Thurston County Locations - Olympia, Tumwater

Whatcom County Locations - Bellingham

The NCPA (National Community Pharmacy Association) has recently started a drug take back (disposemymeds.org). We recommend calling the locations listed before returning your meds to confirm locations are open.
